Your Betaprayer to the Hyborian gods
Most know by now that it's pretty hard to get into the Age of Conan beta test. Funcom is aware of this and have reserved a number of keys to the General Beta of Age of Conan for the best beta prayers to the Hyborian gods.
They recently announced a contest - where anyone can enter to have a chance on obtaining a beta key.
Sometimes all you can do is pray to the gods and hope they listen. We at Funcom have heard your prayers to us, but it never hurts to have the gods on your side! Therefore, we have reserved a number of keys to the General Beta of Age of Conan for the best beta prayers to the Hyborian gods.
Anybody can enter this competition. The only thing you have to do is to post in THIS thread and write down your betaprayer to any of the Hyborian gods (Set, Crom, Derketo, Mitra, Ishtar, Erlik... doesn't matter which one you prefer). The funniest/best/most creative/outstanding entries will be rewarded with a key for the General Beta of Age of Conan. This competition ends on March 9th 2008 at 12:00 GMT so make sure you have posted your prayer until that time!
"But what about us veterans that are not yet in the Beta?" some of you might ask. Don't worry. We have put aside a certain number of betakeys for active long-time followers and will handpick those from our community on this forum. So a new round of veterans will be invited outside of this competition.

Important details:
- One (1) entry per user only.
- We will not announce the winners of this competition. Otherwise we would break our own NDA and would have to kick ourselves from our own beta. And we don't want that.
Make sure the e-mail address in your forum account is up-to-date as we will send the beta invitations to that address.
- All entries must be posted by March 9th, 2008 at 12:00 GMT.
- By submitting the entries the contestant certifies that they are 18 or older.
No illegible, incomplete, forged or altered entries will be accepted. All entries become the exclusive property of Funcom. By submitting entry, entrant represents that (s)he has the unrestricted right to submit text and that it does not infringe upon any third party's proprietary or other rights. By entering, each entrant unconditionally assigns and transfers to Sponsor any and all rights which they now have or may in the future have to the submission including, without limitation, the copyrights therein, in any medium whatsoever. Sponsor will have the unrestricted right to use, alter, publish, display or transfer the text however it sees fit without further approval of or payment to entrant.
- SELECTION OF WINNERS: Winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received. The winners will be selected by representatives of Funcom on or about March 11th, 2008. Decisions are final on all matters relating to this Contest. Winners will be notified by email.
- PRIZES: Two hundred (200) Keys for the General Beta to to "Age of Conan- Hyborian Adventures". The prizes will be awarded and No substitution or transfer of prize permitted. Account use is subject to normal game rules and terms of service.
- ELIGIBILITY: Contest open to individuals age 18 or older as of February 27th, 2008 who are legal residents of their current domicile, except employees (and their immediate families and members of the same household) of Sponsor, its affiliates, agents, judges and advertising and promotion agencies.
- VERIFICATION OF WINNER AND DELIVERY OF PRIZE: Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. Prize may be forfeited if affidavit is not returned within 14 days after mailing to winner or if prize notification letter or prize is returned as undeliverable or if 3 attempts to contact entrant by email are unsuccessful. Winner agrees to use of name, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation.
- GENERAL: This Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable country, federal, state and local laws and regulations. This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of New York, USA. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the United States of America. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant from this Contest or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by Sponsor or any of its affiliates if his or her fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the Contest. By participating in this Contest, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges and warrants that s/he is eligible to participate in this Contest. By accepting prize, winner agrees to release Sponsor, its directors, employees, officers, and agents, including without limitation, its advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities. No purchase necessary to win.
