I dont like the way toon runs

This whole situation reminds me of the 'developer's dilemma'... 1) Community members want to see the game progress. 2) Games progress in sporadic jumps, not in a linear fashion. 3) Dev's try to withhold information because they know it isn't complete. 4) Community cries about not being able to see more screenies/videos. 5) Dev's finally cave and give the community a peek. 6) Community cries about how crappy it looks. 7) Dev's say "I told you so..." and go back to work. |
Movement animations have many variables in addition to the animation itself (which as someone pointed out some were missing as we changed the way movement worked) it is effected by the movement distance of the animation (how much distance is used when cycling the animation once) and the movement speed all which are tweakable variables and likely to change constantly during beta

I keep watching these videos of the character running with both arms down on either side with or without weapons, Doesn't look natural to me at all. In general the running animation kind of bothers me from what I've seen looks too stiff.
