AoC QS.NET v2.4.1.0

AoC QS.NET autostart when you start Age Of Conan.
It is not necessary to start Age of Conan using a special shortcut, button or launcher

Configure AoC QS.NET ones and start Age Of Conan as your used to,
it will make sure your customized xml files are up to date before launching Age Of Conan.

If you like to have feedback from AoCQS.NET tick "Show log file
and AoCQS.NET will display the logfile after you exit AgeOfConan.

Issues

  • All version from 1.0.0.0 to 1.5.0.1 has a installer bug. To fix this issue install a newer version.
  • "The application failed to initialize properly((0x80000003)", only for WindowsXP SP3. I can't solve this issue as I don't have WindowsXP so I'm calling for help: Anyone out there that can help me fix this issue ?

How do I use AoCQS.NET?

After installing and running the AoCQS.Configurator simply start Age of Conan as you would normally do. It is not necessary to start Age of Conan using a special shortcut or launcher.

How do I skip the Patcher?

  • Start AoCQS.NET(AoCQS.Configurator) found in you start menu.
  • Enable "Allow direct start of Age of Conan without patcher"
  • Create a easy to reach shortcut to the ageofconan.exe
  • Start ageofconan.exe and the patcher gets skipped.
  • AoCQS.Launch will check the patch version before launching AgeOfConan. If the patch version does not match the Patcher will be invoked.

Got problems with "Enable full windowed mode" ?

If the renders screen gets stretched and the buttons aren't aligned do the following.

  • Got to Settings->Video
  • Change the resolution back and forth
    • If you got 1024x786 change to 800x600 and back to 1024x768
  • Now your rendered screen should be ok

Plug-in support

The plug-in is licensed with LGPLv3 so you don't need to release your sourcecode. When installing AoCQS.NET the installer will add AoCQS.PluginSDK.zip to the installation folder. Here you will find the Plug-in interface and two demoplugins.

    The knowledge you need to create add on depends on what you want do.
    In your case you need to know about G15 programming.

    I get 2 of these errors when starting AoC directly from the AgeofConan.exe.

    I'm using Windows XP SP3, .NET 3.5 SP1.

    I not sure what this error is, but I've done some research and found 3 possible solutions:

    1. Try to reinstall AoCQS.

    2. Can be related to the directx version your running, try to update it to
    the latest version.

    3. Update you graphics card driver to the latest version.

    I have exactly the same problem, and I am using the latest DirectX 9 for Windows XP.

    Reinstalling and re-updating do not solve the problem though.

    Since I don't have WinXP I can't fix this issue.
    If anyone out there is a programmer with WinXP and has this issue, please try to see if you can fix it, please :)

    I get an error message when starting Age of Conan. The error ist thrown by dxdiag.net and tells the application couldn't get initialized properly (0x80000003). I use Windows XP Sp3 incl. .Net 3.5Sp1

    Did a quick google for your problem, and a valid solution seems to be to reinstall AoC Quick Start. If that doesn't work, let me know.

    Hi,

    Same problem and same config as op. Reinstalling does not solve it for me. But just to add to the info, unchecking the tickbox for "Allow direct start of AoC without patcher" makes the errors not occur anymore. But then again of course that feature is why I downloaded AoCQS in the first place.

    3G RAM, ATI 3870, Intel HTEE 3.7G proc (several years old).
    I quit playing a month after launch because I was only getting 12fps. I heard they had fixed that, reinstalled, reopened my account, and I got 12fps. Downloaded this, now I'm getting 30-50fps with settings med to high. Wow. Process priority got me up to the 30s, dynamic thread priority pushed me up to 40-50.

    I have used Age Of Conan Quick Start since it got public and was very pleased with the program( see [url=http://forums-eu.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=27438]Age Of Conan Quick Start[/url] ). But it lacked support for the DX10 client on test live. The original "Age Of Conan Quick Start" is licensed under GPLv3, I took the liberty to port the code from Delphi to C# and CLI/C++. It's basically the same application but in an other programming language and added support for DX10
