goto the /1_CORe/ Folder and copy the /cd_image/ to your x:/age of conan/ root directoy. -> Yes! if asked for overwrite files!

now you have to decide what version you like! goto /corruption/2_BOTTOMBARs/ and choose one of the bottonbarversions. Navigate inside the one you want to install and copy the /cd_image/ you find here to your x:/age of conan/ root directoy. -> Yes! if asked for overwrite files!

~~- NOTE there is NO bottombar.xml inside the /CORe folder. So if you didnt do step 2. you will see the funcom standard bottombar~~ --

COMMANDTIMERBAR (CASTBAR) VARIATIONS

if you prefer other colors for the castingbar goto \cd_image\Gui\Customized\gfx\COR\GUIcomponents\bar\ and take a look at the alternate files for the castingbar. Simply delete the standard >timerbar_smaller_full.tga< and rename the on you like to >timerbar_smaller_full.tga<

KNOWN ISSUES

- if you use an older modified textcolor.xml mod you have to make shure you use a new one. Funcom had make changes here so changing the version number for an older file will not work and causes errors in font- itemcolor

- if you have display errors with the bottombar or the minimap: you should check the interfaceoptions and make shure the Worldclock is enbabled. Disableing the right portraitframe also may causes display errors.

- if you have keybinding issues: this issues are 99% Funcom related, sorry!

- last but not least: most problems with this mod are based on other addons or old xml/bxml files. if you have problems make shure you first delete all other addons (best way is to completly delete the customized folder in your age of >x:/age of conan/cd_image/gui/< folder. Also make shure you delete bxml files after you installed mods or changing anything.

love this mod, best UI mod i have found for AoC so far! So good work there!
Im using the super small 2 bar version of the bottom bars, and the ONLY problem i have encountered is that every time i restart the game/change characters my timer bars reset to what seems to be the default position (further up on the screen and a little to the left of player bars/and to the right of target bars for the corresponding timer bar) - so every time i log back into game i have to unlock timer bars, move them, then lock them again.

know any way to fix this?

followed all the instructions still nothing :/

I have tried everything to get this mod to work. I followed the instructions above which seem pretty clear, yet when I log into the game I dont see any changes at all. The ui installer mentioned below does not work on my computer so if someone could explain how to get this working without it please let me know :)

And if you are using Vista, run the program as administrator.

I've been having problems making this work. I make sure every time the file in the Default folder is the exact thing as the customized folder, yet I load the game and the patcher changes it.

I then get this message:
A customized xml file have a different revision number than the orginal
The file in 'Customized\Views\HUD\BottomBar.xml are revision 58518 while the file located in the 'Default\Views\HUD\BottomBar.xml are revision 63057
It is recommended to copy the file from 'Default\Views\HUD\BottomBar.xml again and reapply your customization to make sure you are not missing any new element that might have been added to the offical file.

The official file will be loaded until the revision number of the customezed file has been updated.

To copy and reapply again is not helping because every time I start the game the patcher changes the default to 63057.

BTW My Customized folder and Default folder are NOT in cd_image. It is in the Age of Conan\Data\Gui folder.

I suggest that you make a verson 1.2.6 where the timers are enabled on yourself (CharPortraitLeft.xml).

This UI is the reason I created the UI installer, simply the best UI for AOC!

Runkel, i have tested the mirage textcolors. Its simple: look into the mirage folder for TextColors.xml; copy this file to you /customized folder. thats it.

I will also check the ShabAio files and will do some tests. Iam not shure, i dont want to mod too much so the ui is going to screw up after patches or if you buy a bigger bag.

At the moment im configuring my Hotkeys and got a small problem.
I cant find the Hotkey setting for the button between the arrow buttons (you got stealth on it in your screenshots)

runkel, right now this button isnt offical mapable. You can edit a xml file and insert the key manually i think.

The Button will be mapable by default with the next patch next week. This is what the testliveserver patchnotes say.

yes if possible can u make the bottom bar with the hotkeys smaller? like 1/2 size or sumthing? i dont think alot of us can fit our chat boxes on the sides of it as is. i would greatly appreciate it since this is the best ui mod i've seen so far. nice work! thanx

I third the below requests for a version with reduced sized buttons/bottom bar. ~75% smaller would make a huge difference for those of us who are not fortunate enough to have such a large resolution. 1440x900 widescreen here and the bottom of my screen is awfully crammed.

the player "portrait" frames look really nice but NPC frames don't really match the UI. Maybe you are planning to update these in a later version but I wanted to mention it just in case :)

otherwise this is my favorite UI so far! i prefer a clean minimalistic look and don't need rows and rows of buttons since I hotkey most actions. This one is nearly perfect and looks great! :) just needs smaller buttons, please please please :)

I really really love this UI mod dude, but I'm gonna have to agree with the others. As it stands the bottom of my screen is very cramped with its current size. If you made a smaller version I would be all over this.

ok, i think i will do the work and make a ultra small version. Than the buttonbarpart will be finished and hopefully noone will ask me anymore for adding smaller versions ;)

I will test the settings and have to find a solution for the petbar and assassinsoulshard boxes positions ...

the next update (hopfully ready tomorrow) will offer:

2 row normal 47x47px
2 row small 40x40px
2 row unltra small 33x33px (todo)

3 row nomal "
3 row small "
3 row ultra small "(todo)

- optimized castbar, clearer to read, changed color ...

- new graphics for regionmap and worldmap (M); thin borders with the style of the mod.

- few other tweaks here and there ...

- preloaded and tested with the upcomming patch!

dueto severall problems porting the mod updates to the actual live version i will upload the new files for version 1.2 when the patch goes live and i know what version number exactly it will be.
