WerikUI
WerikUI is the first Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Graphical User Interface (GUI) modification.
This mod tries to appeal to those who prefer the cleared out, minimalistic but at the same time informative GUI over visually richer interfaces which take up more screen space.
Installation Guideline
1) Make a backup copy of your <Age of Conan>\cd_image\Gui\Customized\
folder if you are using other modifications.
They might be incompatible.
2) Unpack the downloaded file in a temporary directory.
3) From the above temporary directory, copy the whole cd_image folder into
your Age of Conan directory.

Revision Number changes (Out of Date Issues)
Every time Funcom patches the game client the revision number increases. This can cause that the modifications will be outdated and won't load anymore. In this case you should get a warning during the launch of the game.
You can update the revision numbers yourself, though I'd not recommend it. If the revision number of a file changes, there is a big chance that file was modified. If you update the old file's revision number, you might loose new features which were introduced by the new patch.
Knowing this if you want to update your files, you must replace the revision number inside the XML files. The XML files are always in cd_image\Gui\Customized\ .
Look for the the line:
<!-- $Change: '''XXXXX''' $ (must be within the first 200 characters of the file) -->
where, XXXXX is the revision number. It is usually the second line of the file.
To find out what the correct revision number is, you have to check the exact same file inside cd_image\Gui\Default\. These are the default Age of Conan GUI layout files.
Example:
Lets say you want to change the revision number of your customized BottomBar.xml because at loading time the game tells you that it's out of date.
In this case, you go to cd_image\Gui\Default\Views\HUD, open BottomBar.xml, and look at the second line. The revision number is the number you can find between $Change: and the next $ sign.
Now you go to cd_image\Gui\Customized\Views\HUD\, open BottomBar.xml, find the second line again, and replace the number with the new revision number. Save the file and you are good to go!

zebai saidanother mod developer made a change to the target bar hud, Symmetry and Minimalism. It added an alternate method of identifying solo/elite content by tagging it with letters instead of the very unexplained picture icon. Would love for your UI to mimic this approach.

Merovius saidThe installation is a bit unclear. Cant get it to load, do I need to copy the Werik UI folder to both the Customized and Default folders ? Or is it not loading because the revision is incorrect ?

Scionith saidSo then it's not possible to have then set up like the standard gui after you get to level 40+. With all the attacks grouped up by each other with the proper key bindings?
Upper Left on the top bar set to 1. Overhead attack on the top bar set to 2. Upper Right on the top bar set to 3. Lower Left on the bottom bar((Where you're upper left was before level 40.)) set to Q, and Lower Right on the bottom bar three spaces in ((Where you're upper right was before level 40)) set to E)

Scionith saidPlease help, I installed the addon and everything looks great, but one small problem:
I can't bind the top bar in the the key bindings. I checked the control and the only options are; Action Bars, Extended Action Bars 1. No.1 thru 20, Extended Action Bars 2. No.1 thru 20, and Action bar swaping at the bottom.
Its probably something simple I'm over looking, can someone please point me in the right direction so I can get my top bar to have its attacks mapped 1,2,3 and my bottom bar with lower right and left attacks being Q, and E.
Thanks in advanced for the help.

ezen saidSince the June 2 patch, I am getting a glitch that allows me to 'buff' myself 2x, which in turn displays my HP incorrectly on the health bar (and in turn, Skills & Attributes).
In disabling the UI, the HP in Skills & Attributes shows up as it should, and shows up fine as well on the health/etc bars.
NINJAEDIT
Strike that. It appears that there is a fundamental problem, but it's on Funcom's end.
Ah well. Awesome UI :)

Darkstar-ssl saidVery nice work on this UI, im a total fan.
Does it work with the new patch if I update it manually ?
Also could it be possible to move my own and the enmy castbar so it appears above the healthbar? just a few millimeters really.

Malice saidYou can move it yourself if you like. All you need to do is goto the Interface Options window and check off 'Move Hidden Timer'
Once you do that, you can move the cast bars wherever you wish.

guildan saidI can't get the map to come up correctly. I hit M and it appears on the right (maybe like 1/4 of an inch of it actually appears. If i click it, the World Map pops up, but the local map is not shown. It almost looks like it should be there, but is just pushed off to the right of the screen.
Other than that, great addon!! Works really well i like it a ton.

Phainein saidReadme needs:
- Updated installation procedure. Currently it talks of the cd_image when you've only put in the bare customized and default folders. I figured it out fairly quickly but there are more computer-inepts out there who have been completely befuddled by the outdated installation instructions.
- At least a barebones howto open up the main menu, or bind the middle-bar of hotkeys.
- At least a barebones explaination of what you can and can't customize in the mod, if the main menu doesn't explain. I haven't figured out how to open it up yet myself, if you can at all...

JoakimD saidWorks. I honestly don't think UI customization is for the cheaper video cards out there, my 2600XT went from 25 to 10fps after i installed this.

nightsdawn saidI guess its just my resolution but the attacks buttons are EXTREMELY small. In the future could you please have the option to make the buttons larger... IE Hold dont ctrl+ something and mouse wheel up/down for size. Or is there a I can do this manually. Awesome MOD btw this is the best UI out there. Now lets all hope the devs you someone comes up with a way to fix the chat/guild/freinds functions =)
