BalMaethor UI

This is a customized user interface that I started developing for my guild. It brought a minimalistic type approach to the hotbars while retaining some of the original artwork that FunCom has provided.

Features

Below is a summary of the features included with the BalMaethor UI.

Bottom Bar:

  • Stripped the default artwork from the bar.
  • Reduced the size of icons.
  • Moved the Player and Target status bars.
  • Added 3 buttons to the default bar.
  • Added an extra hotbar, ALT - <number> for your button.

Floating Bar:

  • Reduced the size of icons.

New Guardian UI:

  • Added 2 button bar for Consumables.
  • Added 2 button bar for Stances.
  • Added 3 button bar for Maneuvers.
  • Added 3 button bar for Strategems.
  • Added 3 button bar for Tactics.

Installation Instructions

Unzip contents into the following AoC directory:

%Your AoC Directory%\cd_image\Gui

An example would be:

C:\Program Files\Funcom\Age of Conan\cd_image\Gui

If you are using a previous Customized UI, it is recommended that you back up that mod. This may have a chance of overwriting or not being compatible your current customizations.

If you are prompted to Overwrite your current Customized directory, do so.

Version Schema

The BalMaethor UI will include the following verision schema:

Game Version:BM Version using standard software versioning. An example of this will look something like this:

49064:1.1.1

Current Version

BalMaethor UI 49995:1.2.0

Ahh, you've changed it so the empty buttons can be seen. :(
Can I turn this option off somehow please? I like not seeing empty buttons.

Nice UI but getting issues with bars moving when target of target is turned on. Be looking out for that getting fixed.

Best looking UI so far. Keep the good job up.
Question: is it possible to drag and move the bars, the player and target frames or have you locked those in places?

As of now the UI is static. According to gossip, FunCom will be releasing a revised UI in a couple weeks that include LUA and XML interfacing. If this does happed you will start seeing WoW type interfaces on the street.

Thx Harcos. What about the target of target, where does that go on your UI? Sorry for bugging you but I'm not home for a few days so I have no way of testing for myself. ;)

    Aha! Thanks Harcos_BM.

AoC is an excellent game.. but the standard UI is awful.
Your UI has really brought the game out more. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind feedback :)

As far as casting bars go, they are movable by default.

Go to Interface Options > Advanced

Scroll down to Display Hidden GUI and click Enable Timer Bars.

They will now be visible at all times and movable. Drag them to the desired location. Then disable them. They will then only appear when you or your target cast.

Keep an eye out later tonight, I'll be posting a new version of the UI which includes some fixes. There will be two versions now, one for Low Resolutions and one for High Resolutions.

    I love this UI, thatks.
Only problem I have, is both my and the mobs cast bars are in the middle of the screen in alkward locations. Can these be moved? How?

I must say i admire your work so far, i would enjoy seeing tho if your aware of say trinity bar mod used in wow, Some work in that direction ie: the ability to move bars around the screen where we want them also ability to rotate the bars up down an so on. So far from the others that have been posted i do enjoy yours best keep up the work on it please. One other thing it would be nice as well to be able to drag the casting bars where we want them.
