If you're having issues patching shut down your firewall and anti virus... as for the crashing and what not.. give them time.. the game is new... every single MMO that has been released has had issues with their servers and lag/over population. Get over it.

Also, the problems you are experiancing, are not the norm. I have been playing 3 to 4 hours a day solid without a single disconect except when the servers cam down for maintinence. I wonder seriously if the person who psoted this has ever played anything at its release? This has been, without a doubt, the smoothest release I have ever seen.

Yeah, I have 30-50ms latency. 40 fps with 16x anti-aliasing and bloom. Fantastic, truly. Since the official launch, they have been down a total of 4-8 hours tops. I've been impressed.

Sounds like you played for mabye 1 hour total and didn't try again even once after the opening day rush was done. Speak for yourself with latency issues, sounds to me you just have a crappy computer. The 2 gigs of ram is the only requirement you cant skimp out on and go minimum with. As for servers crashing, seriously man, you think WoW was perfect upon release date. The games great, and it looks amazing, great replacement for any mmo you guys might be bored with.

Some places aren't working so well, but to post on opening day or for the week after about the single starting zone, for what turned out to be an insane amount of ppl, is fairly ridiculous. I'm going to bet you went w/ recommended specs on a game that works over pretty much any system. I'm not sure of my latency, but I do run from 45 - 65 fps regularly.

My game has been running smooth as butter! All is not pertfect but far better than a majority of MMORPG starts. Do you work for blizz btw?

how much is the monthly fee to play. i look at there site and checked but no luck could anyone tell me what the cost is on the monthly. the game looks sick and i think they put a lot of money and time into this mmorg so they have my attention thanks in advance

Sorry your stupid ass post made me have to register and respond to your because of the ignorance I was hearing I felt it was my civil duty to respond to you.

First off the download takes a long time, when your download 20 gigs off the internet depending on how much DL speed you have with your provider you might be in for a long download. Quick fix is to get better ISP or wait for the retail version DVD to arrive to install it.

Next as to your latency problems, I am sorry I haven't heard of anyone getting that much latency unless they don't live in the US which at this time it is a US and Euro retail game, although I am sure there will be servers in other countries soon.

My average latency is Norman, OK is typically 30-50ms which is great. I played WoW for 3 years and I was typically around 100-120ms.

Only thing I can say bad about this game is that you need a pretty good system to play it well. I bought a brand new computer 3 months ago with an integrated VCard and it didn't run the game well so I went out and bought a 1 gig 8500GT for 120 bucks and average around 30-50fps with medium graphics.

And speaking of graphics, holy cow the best I have ever seen. Lot's of realism here I feel like I am in a PS3 game cut scene movie all the time it is great. There are bugs I agree with other people but if a lot of your remember WoW when it first came out it was damn near unplayable for a few weeks and they have added tons and tons of stuff later on patch after patch for years to make it the game it is today. All I can say is give AoC a chance I know I am and my wife will be purchasing the game in a few weeks as well to play with me because she likes the graphics and realism the game provides.

The subscription is 15 bucks a month same as WoW and I think this game is a great alternative to Wo
W although I will buy WoW xpac I won't be playing it till then because I have already defeated most the end game content and my shaman already has netherdrake 10k gold and full season 3, I have nothing else to play for now the game is beat for me at the moment.

Give it a chance, be open minded to a new and different game and you won't be disappointed.
